Upgrading Vista Triplex Columbus Units Unlike the earlier versions of the Columbus HDR’s the Triplex versions only have one file to load and this is done via the Ethernet connection using Internet Explorer as follows: Set the IP addresses of both the PC and the Columbus and verify a good IP connection, either by using the WaveReader software or "Ping". Open IE (V5.5 or above) Under: Tools> Internet Options…> Connections, select "Never Dial a Connection" then close the dialog box. V4.08 or Earlier: Type the IP address of the Columbus into the Address box and click GO. In the Logon box enter the name as "admin" and the password as "admin" Select "Upgrade the unit" and wait approximately 20 seconds while the file is sent to the Columbus. Select ""Confirm file" and wait approximately 30 seconds while the file is installed (there is a progress bar during this stage). Select "Reboot" Close IE. V4.11 or Later: Type the IP address of the Columbus into the Address box followed by "/index.ssi" and click GO. In the Logon box enter the name as "admin" and the password as "admin" Select "Upgrade the unit" and wait approximately 20 seconds while the file is sent to the Columbus. Select "Confirm file" and wait approximately 30 seconds while the file is installed (there is a progress bar during this stage). Select "Reboot" Close IE. If when you try to connect to the Triplex Columbus you get a prompt similar to "Cannot connect offline" select go online, you will then get a prompt "Unable to connect" select Retry.
