Available from Norbain, Access Control Technology (ACT) Ltd. has launched a new access control solution that has been designed to suit all types of SME’s located in a single building and not requiring more than 32 protected doors.
Notes on CCTV Monitors: When selecting a monitor, its features and quality should match or exceed the quality of the camera. This ensures the best image quality and minimises the degradation that occurs naturally with transmission through cabling.
For a monochrome camera system there is no advantage in a colour monitor. The serviceable monochrome unit is the cost-effective option, with many offering a higher resolution in terms of TV Lines than colour monitors. Monochrome is also suitable for an unmanned surveillance system.
For high quality manned surveillance systems it makes sense to install a high-resolution colour monitor. Be sure that the resolution of the monitor at least equals that of the camera, to gain full value from your investment in the front end of your system. Finally, for aesthetic and space saving reasons, a flat screen monitor may be preferred.
