Welcome to the March/April edition of Security Matters. In this issue we will be taking a look at the latest thoughts from CameraWatch on the importance of certifying the destruction of CCTV recordings.

Disruption to education is an ongoing and significant problem for schools across the UK but when Beardwood School, which is responsible for educating some 1100 students, was experiencing disruptions from children setting off fire alarms during school time it decided to take action to address the problem.
Responding to feedback highlighting the importance of security and safety to their customers, property company SEGRO has installed a CCTV system at the Kings Norton Business Centre, Birmingham. Rather than hard-wiring the system, they have employed a Fluidmesh 2200 wireless mesh network to help reduce the cost and time of the installation.
We also take a look at the new alliance forged between Samsung Electronic and Norbain which will allow the brand to be promoted and sold successfully throughout the UK.
