Welcome to the July/August issue of Security Matters. With IFSEC over for another year, we take a look at what visitors thought of the Norbain stand and, in particular, the new Formidable 4 Vista products.
Find out more about the new CameraWatch scheme that Norbain is supporting. This is an independent, not-for-profit advisory body that supports CCTV users’ understanding and compliance with current policy and legislation. We’ll be running articles over the next year that take a closer look at the scheme and how you can get involved.
Case studies this issue include Christie’s the auctioneers who has completed the installation of the first Pelco Endura system in the UK to ensure it upholds its duty of care to customers.
Wigan Council has had 33 Pelco Esprit cameras added to their already extensive CCTV system to ensure that they are using the most up to date technology to monitor activity in the city centre. The new cameras have proved very simple to operate and form an important tool in the fight against crime.
Grundon Waste has had a CCTV and Access Control system installed at their newly-constructed Clinical Waste Site Incinerator to help ensure that all systems are running smoothly as well as providing the security required for such a potentially hazardous site. The system has proved itself to be invaluable in achieving these objectives, as well as providing additional benefits that weren’t expected when it was installed.
We also take a look at some interesting new Access Control and Intruder Detection products now available through Norbain.
