Security Matters 47 Nov/Dec 2006
English (issued Nov 1 2006)
In this issue we take a look at the Norbain LIVE events which have received excellent feedback from exhibitors and visitors. Recent news tells us that Norbain’s Access Control and Intruder ranges have been further expanded with equipment from some of the top players in the industry. Details can be found on pages 10 and 11.
As always, we take a look at a number of installations in a range of industries. Standard Chartered Bank in Sri Lanka have used an Access Control system to restrict momement around the bank and ensure the safety of its property and staff. RWE npower wanted to protect trespassers from getting onto the site, but also to monitor activity in the vitally important turbine halls. Carillion, a business and construction service company, has made sure that a recently purchased car park is safe for their staff and has become involved in a far wider "Business Watch" to improve safety in the whole area. Finally, the Irish Aviation Authority has found the right security equipment to cope with the harsh environment of the West Irish coast.
You may also have noticed an insert looking at January’s IIPSEC event – dedicated to the latest networkable security, technology and integrated solutions.
