SANYO's real-time, full HD cameras now available through Norbain

Feb 23 2010

Reading UK

Designed to provide a solution for virtually any surveillance application, SANYO's new range of real-time, full HD cameras is now available through Norbain.

With nine cameras in the HD range, models include; colour and day/night static cameras with a CS lens mount, vandal resistant colour and day/night domes, a zoom camera, and PTZ domes.

Featuring the ability to capture full high-definition (1920 x 1080) crystal clear colour images (at 25fps), and equipped with a Dual Codec to support H.264 compression and MJPEG, top of the range models also incorporate multi-streaming - to enable the simultaneous transmission of up to 4 video streams.

Commenting on the launch of the new HD camera range, SANYO's Doug Gwilliams said: "SANYO believe that HD cameras will inevitably be the preferred choice for end-users who are looking to achieve the maximum benefit from their CCTV investment. SANYO's new HD cameras all have a large number of technically advanced features, including a video analytics function which can be programmed to identify the behaviour of subjects, and a 3D-DNR function to reduce 'noise' in low light conditions."

40% smaller than conventional CCTV cameras, a HDMI output allows the full quality of the cameras' images to be observed on a HD monitor, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) is built into the cameras as standard. There's also an option of adding an external HDD for storing recorded video 'on the edge'.

"The new SANYO HD camera range will make life easier for installers with their impressive Focus Assist function," says Buzz Coates, Norbain's branded CCTV manager. "Simply by pointing the camera at a target and pressing the Focus Assist button, the camera lens automatically adjusts to the optimum setting. An Auto IP Setup Utility also aids rapid installation, with any connected camera being automatically detected by software, and an IP address set automatically."
