Designed to provide a flexible, high integrity solution for the security-conscious business, Tyco International's new Kantech KT-400-EU door controller is now available through Norbain.

A four-door controller with 128-bit AES encrypted communication, the Kantech KT-400-EU supports 100,000 cards and 20,000 concurrent events in stand-alone mode. Ethernet-ready in addition to other connectivity options, it provides the foundations for either a brand new security installation, or easily integrates into an existing EntraPass system with other Kantech controllers.

The onboard Ethernet port's dual sensing 10/100 interface can be used for a single controller, or as an IP gateway to manage additional KT Series controllers.  The ultra-low bandwidth usage continues the Kantech philosophy of providing robust solutions which are easy to install while having the minimum impact on infrastructure resources.

To compliment the array of standard inputs and outputs, KT-400-EU offers expansion modules which can add up to 256 inputs and 256 outputs to a single controller.  Inputs can be assigned to any function, with or without EOL monitoring, and the choice of relay or open-drain outputs makes this powerful door controller suitable for many wider applications like Self Storage facilities as well as multi-tenant buildings.
