The new Sony NSR-1000 Series of hybrid network surveillance servers is now available through Norbain. The NSR-1050H, NSR-1100 and NSR-1200 models support the combined use of analogue and IP-based cameras. This uniquely flexible package integrates modern IP cameras, megapixel cameras and traditional analogue cameras into one high-performance server package.
The NSR-1050H supports up to 20 IP/analogue cameras, and includes an integrated analogue encoder to cater for the connection of up to 16 analogue cameras, allied to 500GB storage capacity. The mid-range 1TB capacity NSR-1100 model can accept data from up to 32 IP/analogue cameras, whilst the top of the range NSR-1200 server caters for up to 64 IP/analogue cameras, with a storage capacity of 2TB. Both the NSR-1100 and NSR-1200 are available with an optional NSBK-A16 Analogue Encoder upgrade, affording the connection of up to 16 analogue cameras. The storage capacity of all NSR-1000 Series servers can be expanded via optional NSRE-S200 2TB hard disk units.
In addition to built-in PTZ control, to provide maximum surveillance systems flexibility, the Sony NSR-1000 series servers employ an open architecture design, allowing the connection of Sony and a variety of other manufacturers' network cameras. Featuring two RGB interfaces, each server in the range is also equipped with two HDMI interfaces.
"The key qualities of the new Sony NSR-1000 Series is their hybrid capability," says Paul Jones, Norbain's Sony Business Development Executive. "Combined with their open-platform design, and ease of setup and operation, installers can open the door to a cost-effective and easy migration path from legacy analogue to IP networks, and to high-definition camera networks with wide-screen HD displays."
