Norbain can now offer the Siemens Solaris 36x dome to compliment the already successful Solaris range. This new CCDS1425-DN36 Solaris dome camera offers you all the benefits of the existing models but now includes a 36x optical zoom. Unlike other domes currently on the market the Solaris incorporates an XTU (External Termination Unit), where all connections, i.e. power, data and alarms, are terminated separately from the camera head, making it convenient and easy to install.
The optical zoom in the new camera is further supplemented by a 12x digital zoom facility, which gives it a massive overall focal length range of 3.4 to 1470mm. Proportional speed control is provided for the zoom and, together with fast pan/tilt operation, this makes it easy for operators to home in on areas of interest to capture detailed images for facial recognition purposes.
Multiple communication and control protocols are supported as standard, ensuring straightforward integration with almost any system. All commissioning and testing is achieved via an inbuilt LCD display and simple intuitive on-screen menus. These features make it unnecessary to open the dome head, which means that the risks of leaks and condensation are eliminated.
“This is an extremely versatile camera with a wide range of functions including user-definable privacy zones, programmable tours and preset positions,” says Buzz Coates, Norbain’s branded manager, CCTV. “Like the other models in the range, it features day/night operation and has an integral wide dynamic range function to ensure picture clarity, even in extreme lighting conditions.”
