The Bosch Divar MR Digital Recorder provides simultaneous, real-time recording on up to 16 channels to CIF or 4CIF resolution. MPEG-4 compression significantly reduces bandwidth and increases storage capability whilst reducing the overall storage costs. Other features include an overwrite protection feature and the ability to export such recordings to CD or DVD as well as USB devices as required. 8- and 16-channel versions are available with a variety of control and input options including mouse, CCTV keyboard, front panel and IR remote control. The unit is compatible with all other Bosch CCTV technology as well as third-party domes and PTZ cameras.

Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - is now manufacturing and enhancing the capabilities of the popular ICE camera and mini-dome range, including the award-winning ICED-HyperDome. The stand-out ICED-HyperDome, with built-in HyperD sensor technology, produces optimised images in areas of high lighting contrast. This capability ensures that individuals can be readily identified instead of just producing a silhouette image of a target. Typical installations include: front entrances to retail, finance and fast-food stores; entrance/reception areas at schools; and commercial premises.

The EV1000 series from GE Security is the latest innovation in motion sensor technology. It succeeds the EV125/425 series, building on its success as offering the most sophisticated optics in the security industry. In addition, this PIR series incorporate 3Brid mirror optics and “5D” signal processing which adds an intelligent differentiation between fast and slow moving signals. The result is a unique combination of high sensitivity detection with high false alarm immunity without the need for manual sensitivity adjustment. The EV1000(/AM) series is EN50131 Grade 2(/3) certified with many country approvals in the pipeline.

Net2 nano control units from Paxton use secure wireless technology to communicate with the server PC via a Net2Air USB or Net2Air Ethernet Bridge; this replaces a dedicated data cable. The Net2Air USB bridge connects directly to the server PC, the Net2Air Ethernet bridge extends the use of Net2 nano via Ethernet ports. Both bridges have a wireless range of up to 30m (typically 10m). Net2 plus control units connect to the central administration PC using an RJ45 plug into a standard TCP/IP Ethernet network. This greatly increases the flexibility of installation options on sites that have LAN/WAN networks.

Spectra® IV IP dome systems from Pelco incorporate all of the features and functions of Spectra IV (including analogue), while allowing you to control and monitor video over an IP network from virtually anywhere in the world. Spectra IV IP is a high-speed dome with a built-in 100Base-TX network interface for live streaming to any network application. The dome system also features open architecture connectivity for third-party software recording solutions allowing integration into virtually any IP-based system. It is also compatible with Integral Digital Sentry® video management systems. Spectra IV IP is Endura Enabled™ to record, manage, configure and view multiple live streams.

Raytec has strengthened their portfolio of dome lighting solutions with the launch of RAYMAX 150 and RAYLUX 150. “Most crimes happen at night, when dome systems lack ‘fit for purpose’, dedicated lighting. The new RAYMAX 150 and RAYLUX 150 allow installers to deliver full 360° lighting, either Infra-Red or White-Light, for dome cameras using only 2 illuminators,” says Shaun Cutler MD of Raytec. RAYMAX and RAYLUX 150 deliver World-Class CCTV images at night, provide long life, low running and zero maintenance costs, and ultra-low power consumption.

TDSi has launched SOLOgarde, a cost effective stand-alone access control system, suitable for a wide range of applications. Capable of supporting up to 1,000 users, SOLOgarde utilises MIFARE® smartcard technology, enabling users to hold a single card for multiple applications. SOLOgarde features an innovative hand-held programmer. Easy to use, the programmer eliminates the need to manage shadow cards, allowing the management of all user cards, and enabling more advanced functionality – such as controller settings and diagnostic features. Easy to install, SOLOgarde requires just a standard electrical back box and with spring loaded terminals, no special fitting tools are required.

Vista will be launching a new VNPR (Vehicle Number Plate Recognition) system based on their popular VNPR Lite products. Available as two options, single lane and dual lane, they provide the user with an out-of-the-box solution consisting of: camera(s), a preconfigured VNPR controller, software and licenses. This is a very simple plug-and-play install, based on a standard PC and, when compared with more complex public systems, it provides a welcome breakthrough for installers. Aimed at small and medium commercial applications, it provides the ideal solution for businesses such as hotels, leisure complexes, spa resorts, and golf and country clubs.

Xtralis ADPRO PRO30, 40 and 50 PIR detectors are specifically designed for small to medium external areas and feature Precision Mirror Optics, High Mounting Heights, Anti-vandal functions and more in a robust camera housing designed for security solutions. Main features of the series include the 13ft mounting height for reduced risk of vandalism and the unique anti-vandal, disalignment of the detector. Remote access is available for configuration and management of the detectors while installation and maintenance costs are low. Applications include outdoor perimeter protection, proactive video surveillance and reliable detection for central monitoring stations.
