Aug 10 2007
Reading, UK
Dome cameras have long provided flexible, reliable and accurate surveillance for a wide range of applications. The Norbain LIVE events give you the opportunity to see what’s on the market, and compare various models. There will be a huge variety of domes available for demonstrations at the events, a few of which are highlighted below.
The AXIS 233D is the first dome camera with progressive scan, reducing motion blur in the image from objects moving. Together with the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilizer) which reduces the effect of vibrations caused by traffic or wind on the image, the AXIS 233D gives sharper images on moving objects than any other camera. With zoom performance of 35x optical and 12x digital it can zoom in on smaller objects better than ever possible before.
Dallmeier’s impressive range of domes provide a solution for every conceivable situation. Cam_inPIX technology features strongly to give optimum picture quality in all lighting conditions. Day/night functionality is also a key feature, whether as standard or option. Vandal-resistant models are also available, both analogue (DDF3000IP-DN) and IP (DDF3000IPV-DN).
Dedicated Micros is pleased to announce that the Dennard 2060 Precision Dome is being upgraded with new features. Its previous maximum optical zoom setting has been increased from 26x to 36x. This will provide a noticeable improvement in camera performance at both the wide and telephoto end of the lens zoom range. The unit has a new pan & tilt mechanism including stepper motors for rapid and precise movement control and enhanced accuracy and reliability.
JVC’s first vandal resistant IP-network dome camera, the VN-C215VP4U and the VN-C215V4U indoor dome camera shall be on display. Both cameras have a 3.6 x built-in variable focal length iris lens (f 2.8 – 10mm) and the Easy Day/Night function enables clear and well-defined images in colour and black-and-white to be captured 24/7. The fully- functional VN-C655U IP network dome camera, super-slim VN-C625U dome camera and the VN-E4 4-channel network encoder will also be showcased.
The Pelco Spectra IV is the ultimate camera/dome positioning system and a powerful complement to any security installation. With powerful advances in optics technology for capturing the crispest images, a heat management design for unmatched reliability, and installations made even easier thanks to back-box and lower-dome redesigns, Spectra IV is the ultimate positioning system for any environment, for any lighting condition.
The Samsung Techwin SPD-3300 is part of a range of speed domes all available with a complete range of accessories. The high performance SPD-3300 incorporates a true Day/Night camera with infra-red cut filter (ICR). With SSNR (Samsung Super Noise Reduction) technology built-in, high levels of noise, created when lighting levels are low, are eliminated without creating ghosting or motion blur.
SANYO’s VCC-9800 series has up to a 36x optical zoom and, when combined with a 16x digital zoom capability, distant objects can be observed in great detail. It also pans at 435 degrees per second and has a pre-set accuracy measured at 0.014 of a degree. This competitively priced fully functional 520 TV lines Day/Night dome camera is equipped with an impressive list of other advanced features.
Tyco International announces the new high performance American Dynamics™ SpeedDome Ultra 8 programmable dome camera. SpeedDome Ultra 8 combines 420x total zoom with 540 TVL for superior image quality. It also provides innovative features like Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), and Digital Slow Shutter (DSS) for vastly superior video images. An innovative design lets you save presets and patterns directly to the base which eliminates the need for reprogramming.
Videoswitch will be showing C-MOR, a fully functional dome built to the same rigorous standards customers have come to expect from Videoswitch DVRs. C-mor has long range infra-red lighting built into its housing, saving time and money as there is no need for separate supplementary lighting equipment to be installed and powered. Incidents of up to 100 metres away from the dome can be observed and tracked with full 360° pan and tilt coverage.
The PowerDome Lite range from Vista has been extended to include a 22x continuous rotation mini-dome for internal and external use. The domes are small and compact and are available as surface and pendant mount options making them ideal for a huge range of applications. Operating on RS485 or FSK telemetry, the domes offer preset tours and vandal resistance as standard.
