Norbain catalogue gets the thumbs up from customers

Norbain recently commissioned one of the UK’s top 25 market research agencies to carry out research into how its customers view the catalogue to see if any changes needed to be made. In particular, Norbain were keen to establish if a hard copy catalogue was still the preferred media, or if product listings should be on the company website or on a CD. Additionally, opinions were sought on the current design and layout of the catalogue and if the whole package still met customer expectations.
The results of the survey are now back and we’re pleased to say that the vast majority of customers interviewed were satisfied with the existing format, layout and content of the catalogue. 80% of respondents favoured the current hard copy, although 45% indicated that they would also be interested in having an electronic variant.
88% of customers said that overall the information contained in the catalogue was about right and the majority believed that the current trend of two mailings a year was sufficient for their needs.
"Norbain is dedicated to providing the best service in the industry and surveys like this are essential in keeping us in touch with what works best for our customers," states Huw Edwards, Norbain’s Marketing Communications Manager. "In light of these findings, Norbain is continuing with the bi-yearly, hardcopy catalogue, with the addition of a CD for those customers who prefer an electronic format."
