Norbain seeks to expand distributor network at MIPS 2004
Feb 23 2004
First exhibit of Vista brand in Moscow
Norbain SD, Europe’s largest distributor of CCTV and Access Control equipment, brings the Vista brand of CCTV equipment to Moscow for the first time at this year’s MIPS 2004 security and fire safety exhibition (26-29 April, Olympiyskiy Sport Complex, Moscow). As well as displaying a wide range of Vista cameras, domes and digital recording equipment, Norbain executives are hoping to meet potential distributors for the Vista brand from across the Russian Federation.
Cameras and domes on display range from entry level cameras and camera kits through to the latest in fixed and mobile domes. These include several different models from the high resolution, high speed Vista PowerDome™ range of 6" internal colour and 7" external day/night cameras.
Also appearing for the first time in Moscow is the Vista SmartPIR, a high resolution colour covert camera incorporating a passive intruder alarm sensor offering user defined motion detection capabilities. Captured images are recorded onto an internal removable 32MB or 64MB flash memory card which, using a smart card reader, may be readily viewed on a conventional PC or CCTV monitor.
Norbain is also exhibiting the full breadth of the Vista digital video recording product range. Positioned as the world’s first truly viable VCR replacement, the Vista Solo™ DVR features an 80GB removable hard disk, capable of providing seven days video storage in 24hr time-lapse mode and removable ‘flash card’ for easy image archiving to PC. The range of Vista Triplex™ Columbus DVRs on display includes models with from 4 to 16 video inputs and hard disk capacities from 40GB to 1000GB. The name Triplex™ reflects the unit’s three simultaneous operational capabilities - recording video from multiple cameras to an internal hard drive whilst simultaneously providing playback of recorded images and viewing live images – even on the same monitor. Also on display is the Vista SmartDisc hard disk recorder and software for recording and viewing images remotely.
Paul Ramsay, Norbain’s Divisional Director for Export, says:
"Norbain is delighted to participate in MIPS 2004 and we look forward to forging many new relationships with our partners in the Russian Federation. The Vista brand combines breadth, quality and affordability in a way that few brands can match. Norbain is renowned for its high commitment to product development. This is reflected at MIPS with our world preview of the Vista Protos 3 Ultra Wide Dynamic Range colour camera featuring the new Pixim chip that delivers the ultimate in surveillance image quality."
Norbain SD has annual revenues in excess of £97m with sales in over 77 countries across 5 continents. The home of Vista, the UK’s largest selling brand of electronic security equipment, Norbain represents over 100 of the world’s leading CCTV and Access Control brands.
