Vista’s Formidable 4 receive great reviews at IFSEC

Jun 15 2007

Reading, UK

Always at the forefront of technology, Vista unleashed four exciting new products at this year’s IFSEC exhibition. The Formidable 4, AKA Navigator DVR, Blade DVR, PowerDome2 and Graphica2, were given their first showing at the event with great results.

The IFSEC show itself was a great success for Vista. "It’s not just the number of leads that is impressive," says Mark Pritchard Divisional Director of Vista, "it’s the quality of them as well. "This was a great opportunity for us to show the products for the first time and get customer feedback," he continues. "The comments we received on the Formidable 4 were extremely encouraging and showed that we had successfully anticipated market demand in terms of pricing, features and innovation."

An overview of the products:

Navigator
The Vista Navigator is a mid range DVR with 4, 10 or 16 camera inputs that offers excellent functionally.

Visitors were particularly impressed with:

  • The extensive feature set and ease of use
  • The pricing point which offers excellent value for money for such a comprehensive solution

Blade
The Vista Blade is an enterprise level real-time DVR with 4, 8 or 16 inputs, capable of recording up to 400 images per second for 16 cameras at D1 resolution.

Visitors were particularly impressed with:

  • The play-back quality of recorded images. Many people found that they couldn’t tell the difference between play-back and live images
  • The combination of analogue camera and direct IP inputs which result in the DVR being a true stepping stone to the increasingly popular IP market

PowerDome2
The PowerDome2 range comes with improved housing design, back box memory and more powerful camera modules, including 26:1 day/night and 23:1 day/night WDR.

Visitors were particularly impressed with:

  • The back box memory allowing simple up/download of all camera settings
  • The enhanced camera options that allow for excellent picture quality whatever the lighting conditions

Graphica2

The new upgraded version of Graphica allows for control of the new Blade and Navigator DVRs. It is packed with new features such as muli-site multi-user operation over LAN, WAN & the world wide web.

Visitors were particularly impressed with:

  • Its ability to bring together all DVRs in the Vista portfolio with a common Graphical User Interface
  • The intuitive, interactive maps and direct integration with IP cameras
