Keep up with the latest technologies at Norbain LIVE06

Aug 1 2006

Reading, UK

The issues surrounding surveillance and security are never static and so require the development of new technologies to keep up with the changing demands. In response, the electronic security sector has developed a very dynamic approach to introducing new technologies.

You will be able to see first hand a range of fascinating advancements at LIVE06, a few of which are mentioned below.

ADPRO will be exhibiting their new ADPRO PRO Detectors for perimeter and area applications. The new PRO detectors feature a unique anti-tamper functionality when connected with an ADPRO FastTrace or FastTx. If intruders move the detectors to escape detection, the detectors will signal a tamper fault through to the monitoring station. This dramatically increases overall site security. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about this exciting technology.

Bosch’s new Dinion IP cameras combine all the benefits and reliability of the Dinion range with a network video server that transmits video and control data over IP network which means that images can be transmitted to several receivers simultaneously. Dinion IP cameras have tri-streaming technology: dual MPEG-4 and JPEG compression modes simultaneously allow a dedicated stream at one frame rate for recording and a different stream for live viewing, while JPEGS can be streamed to other devices such as a PDA.

Dallmeier will be demonstrating their new Cam_inPIX® cameras. This technology allows the cameras to display considerably more detail in shaded and very bright sections of a picture. The latest generation also provides clear, high contrast pictures without any blooming or smearing, even in the most difficult lighting conditions. Even in relatively low light intensity – such as in a casino or nightclub – the Cam_inPIX® cameras still provide high contrast and, in particular, true colour images.

Dedicated Micros has developed MultiMode Recording in the latest generation Digital Sprite 2 DVRs. NetVu Connected Trans-Coding software technology, running on powerful new media processors at the very heart of the DS2, allows dynamic switching from MPEG4 low resolution continuous background grade recording to high resolution evidential quality JPEG images on alarm, while still streaming in either format from the same camera over the network for remote monitoring purposes.

TDSi is strengthening its link into exciting biometric technologies with the development of full integration with industry leading manufacturers of biometric readers. The integration modules will be offered as part of the tried and tested eXguard PRO access management suite of software and will be available in the forthcoming release, version 2.1. Enrolment and reader control will be managed from one location eliminating multiple versions of admin software leading to efficiency savings within the business.

Sony will show its first intelligent, network speed dome camera, which offers 360° endless rotation, allowing users to precisely track objects surrounding the unit. As one of the new generation of Sony cameras that carries out advanced image processing inside the camera, the SNC-RX550P brings superior functionality to the high performance product segment of speed domes, with added intelligent technology that allows for more effective surveillance.

LIVE06 also offers an excellent opportunity for product comparisons. With all leading brands exhibiting side by side, visitors will be able to get expert advice that allows them to select the best product for their needs.
