Norbain SD expands into intruder products
Dec 11 2003
As part of the company’s ongoing drive to advance the concept of ‘Single Source Purchasing’ in security solution distribution, Norbain SD Limited (www.norbain.co.uk) has announced a strategic move into the Intruder Products sector. In 2004, a new Intruder Products catalogue will be published featuring lines from the sector’s leading manufacturers. Norbain believes this is a natural extension to their business, complementing the company’s existing CCTV and Access Control range, and strengthening the company’s overall leading position in the industry.
"In time Norbain will become the UK’s premier destination for intruder detection equipment," says Managing Director, Dermot Grace, "with standards of customer service and care identical to those already enjoyed by our CCTV and Access Control customers. For the intruder products sector, this represents a significant improvement and we believe this decision is consistent with wider changes within the security industry. As integration between different aspects of security grows, the skills base within the installer community widens and interest in Single Source Purchasing increases, we believe the benefits of this announcement by Norbain will be clearly recognised by an installer community that is eager to take advantage of new opportunities to reduce costs, protect margins and ease logistical pressures on site. No other distributor in any sector of the security industry can match Norbain’s commitment to product delivery and service excellence."
To drive this new area of Norbain’s business, David Kelly was appointed Divisional Director of Intruder Products with effect from December 2003. Speaking about his new role at Norbain, David Kelly said: "It makes a great deal of sense for Norbain to extend its remit in this way for Norbain’s level of service excellence far outweighs anything else available in the intruder products sector of the industry. The key to success, of course, is ensuring that the correct infrastructure is in place to meet our customer’s high expectations from Day 1. I am delighted to confirm that everything is in place – sales, service and technical support – to ensure that Norbain’s new Division is a tremendous success."
David Kelly has worked in the security industry for over thirty years. Previous positions include Managing Director at C&K Systems and International Sales Manager for Rainbow CCTV.
